Los Angeles Community Hospital, along with Peanuts Worldwide and the Foundation for Hospital Art, host a “Peanuts Paint Fest,” where participants will bring to life a lively mural featuring Charlie Brown and Lucy.

Doctors, nurses, patients, and kids from Los Angeles Community Hospital and Eastman Elementary School will bring their paint skills as they colorize a 56”x49” six-panel mural featuring the world-renowned Lucy snatching the football away from a resilient Charlie Brown from the classic special, “It’s the Great Pumpkin, Charlie Brown,” celebrating its 60th anniversary this year

The mural is a permanent gift to the hospital from Peanuts Worldwide and the nonprofit Foundation for Hospital Art.

“Both children and staff benefit from the calming concentration of painting and take well-deserved pride in the completion of the work of art," says Philip J Fagan, Jr., MD. and Chief of Staff at LACH. Dr. Fagan adds, “If the world listened to Charlie Brown, we'd be in a much better place.”
